WHO WE ARE
We built the host we wanted.
OmniPass is a monthly pass for a game server, from people who got tired of how this is usually sold. This page is the argument underneath the pass, and every promise on it is one the product already keeps.
What a pass is
A pass, not a box.
You get one server slot. Put a game in it, play, and put a different game in it next month. Same slot, same pass, and switching takes about a minute.
You never pick memory or cores.
We run a game on a pass before we list it there, so the pass tells you what it runs. There is no sizing decision left for you to get wrong.
A world you are done with is parked, not deleted.
Freezing puts the whole save away and frees the slot. Thaw it later onto any free pass that runs the game, with every chest and every build where you left it.
Why it exists
OmniPass is built by a busy dad who wanted his evenings back for playing with friends.
Renting a server for them meant answering questions I had no way to answer. How much memory does this game need. How many player slots am I buying. What happens to the world if a payment fails. The people selling me the server would not say, and the answer was always somewhere between a guess and a wall of specifications. The product is shaped around those three questions, and the rules below are the answers we hold ourselves to.
What we do instead
None of these practices belongs to one company, so none of them is named after one. They are the norms of an industry, and this is what we do in place of each.
THE PRACTICE
WHAT WE DO
An introductory price that quietly goes up when it renews.
Your pass renews at the price you bought it at.
Charging for each player slot, on games where adding one costs nothing.
You pay for the pass. Who joins your world is between you and the game.
Deleting a world when a payment fails, or when a customer cancels.
A failed payment parks your world instead of ending it. Fix the card and it comes back.
Asking you to choose memory and cores for a game you have never run.
We have run the game on the pass we sell it on. That is what listing it there means.
Ending the session someone is playing in order to install an update.
A world catches up on the newest build while nobody is in it. Your evening is never the install window.
These are rules the product enforces, not intentions we hold. If one of them ever stops being true, the sentence comes off this page.
