Core Keeper

Wake in an endless cavern and dig outward with friends: mine, build, farm, and take on the bosses guarding the Core. It sold over two million copies before it even left early access.

Up and joinable in about ninety seconds.

A cavern that keeps getting bigger

An address and a password, like the rest

Your friends type the address you hand them and the password you set. Nothing to forward, nothing to install, and the same way in every time, through restarts and through parking the world and bringing it back.

Sized for the map you will have, not the one you start with

Core Keeper does not get heavier because more people joined. It gets heavier because you dug further, and a cavern weeks in is a far bigger place than the one you started in.

Park it and the cavern waits

Your world and your settings are kept exactly as you left them. The game itself is not, because Steam hands that back for nothing, so a parked Core Keeper world takes very little room.

Which pass you need

Core Keeper runs on a Premium Pass, and that is the only pass we list it under. The reason is memory: a cavern you have explored for weeks holds far more than a fresh one, and the smaller passes run out before you get there.

THE PASS THIS GAME NEEDS

Premium Pass

£16.99per month

Eight players in a map dug out over weeks, with room left for it to keep growing.

What you choose

What you get to decide, and what each one changes. We set up everything else.

CHOICE

WHAT IT DOES

Password

Players type this to join. Core Keeper insists on one, so pick something you can read out over voice chat.

Max players

Up to eight, which is what Core Keeper is built around.

World mode

Normal or Hard. Hard raises what everything down there hits for, and like every Core Keeper world it is fixed when the world is created.

How we set it up

The official dedicated server

Pugstorm’s own dedicated server, installed straight from Steam and kept exactly as they ship it.

A password you chose, not one it invented

Left to itself Core Keeper makes up a password at every start and tells nobody, which locks out the owner as surely as everyone else. We set yours from the deploy form and pass it in at every boot, so the one you handed out is the one that works.

Parking keeps the world and your settings

Both are kept for you. The game files are not, because Steam hands those back for nothing, so you never pay to store them.

Updates land between sessions

Your server takes each new build while nobody is playing, so you get the newest one without an evening ever being cut short to install it.
