The forest first, the caves when you want them

One world, and a switch for the second

Caves is not a level you load into. It is a second world running underneath the forest the whole time. It starts switched off, and turning it on later leaves everything above ground exactly as it was.

The forest is the whole game for most groups

You never have to turn caves on. A world that stays above ground is a complete one, and the switch is there the day you want the other half.

Growing, not fading

It broke its own player record in 2026, ten years after leaving early access. More people are playing it now than ever have.

Which pass you need

Don’t Starve Together runs on a Standard Plus Pass, forest and caves together. There is no half of the game we sell on a smaller one.

THE PASS THIS GAME NEEDS

Standard Plus Pass

£9.99per month

The forest with eight of you in it, and caves underneath whenever you switch it on. Both worlds run on the one pass, and neither is an extra.

IF YOU WANT MORE

Premium Pass

£16.99per month

Both worlds through a long run, with everything you have built in them still standing.

What you choose

What you get to decide, and what each one changes. We set up everything else.

CHOICE

WHAT IT DOES

Caves

A second world beneath the forest. Switching it on takes a restart, and switching it off keeps the save.

Game mode

Survival, Endless or Wilderness, fixed when the world is created.

Max players

Eight is comfortable. The game itself will go to 31 if you want a crowd.

PvP

Whether players can hurt each other. Off unless you turn it on, and changing it takes a restart.

How we set it up

The official dedicated server

Klei's own dedicated server, set up from the first boot as one world that can grow a second underneath it, rather than two servers that happen to share a name.

The Klei token is not your job

Every server needs one, and Klei issues them per account, so ours runs your world. You never have to fetch one, or even see it.

Caves is a restart away

Turn it on in your world’s settings and the next restart adds the caves world beside the forest. Turn it off and your caves save is kept, not deleted.

Parking keeps everything

Both worlds, every save, the backups, and your admin and ban lists. You get your server back, not a fresh one.

Updates land between sessions

Your server takes each new build while nobody is playing, so you get the newest one without an evening ever being cut short to install it.
